Ohad Finkelstein joined Venrock in 2005. With an extensive background in the finance, technology, and telecom industries as well as in developing new companies, markets, and products globally, Ohad is leading the international investments for Venrock from offices in Europe and Israel.  His prior stint as Chairman, President, and CEO of the pan-European Interoute Telecom Group added to his previous experience as Senior Vice President International Sales and Vice President Global Operations for VocalTec Communications Ltd. Ohad has also held management positions at companies including Packard Bell Electronics in the U.S. and has served as a senior advisor for IDEA, a world leader in financial and economic analysis. In 2008, Ohad was named one of the 100 most influential people in telecom by Global Telecoms Business magazine.

Ohad serves on the boards of the following global, non-Venrock companies; Ethos Networks, Exanet, Inc., and Sensomatix.  He also serves on the board of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Israel.

“I’ve served on both sides of the venture conference table, both as the entrepreneur asking for funding and as the investor.  It’s great to be able to bridge my experience from the new company to Venrock and create a future where everyone wins.  We understand what a new company is going through and how to navigate.”

"Ohad was an instrumental member on P-Cube's BOD, leveraging his experience and personal network to enable interactions with key customer and strategic partners at the most senior level. Ohad's involvement created the opportunities which allowed the company to grow and become a significant player in a new market, leading to it's acquisition by Cisco."
Yuval Shahar, former CEO, P-Cube

"Ohad walks the talk as a committed member of the board and a resource to the CEO. As an outside director at Qpass, Ohad was a tireless advocate of the company at customers and partners around the world, and he brought a welcome and respected operational perspective to the board."
Chase Franklin, former CEO, Qpass
