Dick joined Venrock in 2008. From 1997-2008 he served as Executive Director of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, a national law firm with leading practices in venture capital, life sciences, and technology. His previous experience includes senior positions in corporate finance, banking, and real estate.

Dick currently serves as chairman of the board of Montgomery Street Income Securities, Inc. (NYSE), and as a member of the board of directors and investment committee of The Cal Poly Foundation.
